Richwood Gazette, 26 April 1917 - (causes of death) Living within a mile and a half of one another, four cousins of Wm H and Alfred Lake passed away during April. On the 5th, Arthur Sheets died after a short illness of pneumonia; Solomon Sheets died on the 10th of April of grip, being ill only a few days; three days later Henry Sheets fell a victim of cancer; and on April 17th, Emma Sheets Blain, a niece of the three men and a cousin of the Lakes, died suddenly of uremic poisoning. All four lived on farms near Kilbourn in Delaware County. Emms, the last of the four to die, had attended the funerals of her three uncles.
